KIDMEEEE
This small, early-prototype descent to madness game was created for a Programming Fundamentals class focused on learning the basics of programming with the Godot engine (v4.3). This 2D project had to feature the use of animated sprites for the player, win/lose conditions and screens through signals from Area2D and Collision2D nodes, collectibles, audio buses, and groups.
We were tasked with building a short level for the game, inspired by well-known platformers of our team's choice. We selected Kirby's Dreamland, Inside and Salt & Sanctuary.
Making this game was a great way of getting a better understanding of some of Godot's base features. It was also a very frustrating, confusing and tiresome experience -- still, we had a lot of fun working on this.
